Amanda Cooper

Licensed Master Social Worker

Amanda Cooper

Amanda is a Licensed Master Social Worker who provides trauma-focused, client-centered therapy to children, adults, and families. Her clinical background includes over 2000 hours of therapy in a residential domestic violence shelter, where she supported adults and children navigating acute trauma, complex family dynamics, and major life transitions. Amanda believes that healing begins with feeling truly seen and heard. She strives to create a warm, client-centered space where trust and connection form the foundation of the therapeutic relationship.

Amanda’s primary specialty is with children ages 2–10, using play therapy, sandtray, and expressive interventions to support emotional expression, regulation, and healing from issues such as anxiety, grief, family separation, and early trauma. She values attunement and connection, and her approach helps children feel safe, seen, and empowered.

Amanda also has a growing specialty in perinatal mental health and is in the process of earning her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C).

She supports birthing people and caregivers navigating the emotional impacts of pregnancy, birth trauma, postpartum transitions, and early attachment challenges.

Outside the therapy room, Amanda enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Vols, working in her garden, and spending time with friends and family.
