Wendy Melson

MS, CPA; Certified Psychological Assistant

Wendy specializes in providing psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents.

 

Evaluations include assessments of cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and social emotional functioning to aid in the identification of any potential barriers to learning and school achievement, including specific learning disorders, ADHD, and mood-related issues (anxiety, depression).

 

Wendy received undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Business Administration from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She later earned a master’s degree in Educational Psychology with an additional two years of study leading to a degree in School Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver.

 

Wendy has worked as a licensed School Psychologist in Tennessee since 1997, with the past 23 years helping students and families in the Williamson County School District. Previous to joining Brentwood Counseling Associates, Wendy also provided evaluation and consultation services at Learning Lab of Brentwood and Nashville. She has worked extensively with children of all ages, from elementary school through high school.
