M.ED.; Pre-Licensed Professional Counselor
Luna Wang

I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, where I completed specialized training in the Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Expressive Arts Therapy track.
My passion for working with children began long before becoming a counselor. Before entering the mental health field, I worked as an educator supporting children across various ages and developmental stages. These experiences taught me that every child has a unique story and that behaviors often reflect deeper emotional needs, life experiences, and environmental influences. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds, including refugee and immigrant communities. I have also supported children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental and behavioral challenges. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how factors such as culture, family dynamics, trauma, identity, educational experiences, and life transitions can impact a child's emotional well-being.
Having lived in three different countries throughout my life, I understand both the challenges and opportunities that come with navigating different environments and life stages. These multicultural experiences have shaped my worldview and strengthened my ability to connect with children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where every client feels seen, safe, and accepted for who they are.
I specialize in working with children ages 3–12, adolescents ages 13–18, and parents. Through play, creativity, and authentic connection, I help young people process emotions, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and discover their own strengths. I also partner closely with parents, helping them move from feeling overwhelmed and uncertain to feeling empowered, confident, and connected in supporting their child's growth and well-being.
I believe that healing happens within nurturing and supportive relationships, and I am honored to walk alongside children and families as they navigate life's challenges and opportunities for growth.
